The fourth edition of the Medieval Festival “Kruna Bosne” was officially opened last night in Cazin.

The festival began with the opening of the exhibition “Figure. Word. Symbol.”, created by Elma Čaušević Mujezinović, Maja Matašin, and Danis Lan Fejzić. Held at the Old Town Hall in Cazin, the exhibition brought together art, history, and cultural heritage enthusiasts. The evening continued with a concert by the Fugato Ensemble, whose performance added to the atmosphere of the official opening.

The opening marked the beginning of three festival days dedicated to medieval Bosnia, its rich history, and cultural heritage. Today, visitors can look forward to a diverse programme: at 6:00 PM, the City Hall will host the presentation of the book “Bosnia and the Roman Curia in the Middle Ages” by Dr. Dženan Dautović, with Dr. Nedim Rabić, Dr. Adis Zilić, and Enes Škrga participating as presenters and speakers. This will be followed by medieval games for children at the town square, while at 8:00 PM, the programme continues with a screening of the AI film “Queen Mother Katarina Kosača-Kotromanić” by director Nataša Bartule Hébert at the cinema hall of the Cultural Centre.

Welcome to the Medieval Festival “Kruna Bosne” – a place where history comes to life through art, science, and culture.

The festival is organised by the Museum of the Bosnian Kingdom, with the support of the City of Cazin and the Cazin Centre for Culture and Tourism.
