Immediately after the Ottoman conquest of Bosnia, Queen Katarina, the wife of the penultimate Bosnian king Stjepan Tomaš, sought options for relocation following the collapse of the state. One of the options was the territory of the Republic of Ragusa, with which her husband had maintained friendly relations for decades. The image shows a decision of the Ragusan Senate granting potential permission for Katarina to come to Ragusa.
(23.7.1463) Dubrovnik State Archives, Consilium Rogatorum XVII, 257.
