U ime oca i sina i svetoga duha.

In the name of the father and the son and the holy spirit. I, Ban Bosnian Kulin, swear to you, Comes Krvaš, and to all the citizens of Ragusa that I will be your true friend, from now on and forever, and that I will maintain true peace with you and true faith as long as I live. All the Ragusans who walk around the area I rule, trading can be where they want to be, where they want to pass, with true faith and a true heart I will keep them without any compensation, unless someone gives me a gift of their own free will. And that my officers do not cause violence to them, and while they are with me I will give them advice and help as well as myself as much as possible, without any evil intention. So God help me and this holy gospel. I, Radoje scribe, of the ban, wrote this book of the ban’s charters from the birth of Christ in the year one thousand one hundred and eighty-nine, in the month of August, on the twenty-ninth day, on the beheading of John the Baptist.
